Description
Some new production MK23 slides have a machined flat bottom in the firing pin block safety channel. Previous generations of MK23 slides utilized a stepped or pointed profile in this location which allowed for the safe use of your MK23 pistol without an optic installed.
If your firing pin block channel has a flat bottom, an optic must be installed for the pistol to function properly.
- If you send us a new production slide for an optic cut and do not include your optic in your shipment, we will return it assembled with the firing pin block spring in a separate bag.
- You must install the firing pin block spring and optic before first use.
- Please see photos for reference.
**Do not attempt use your MK23 without a properly functioning firing pin block safety.**
